Programme Overview
Our Certificate in HR Management is a 10 month programme focused on building your skills around core HR areas that apply when managing an HR function.
Over the course you can attend workshops, watch videos, read articles and complete online learning modules and assignments and get coaching and feedback from our HR team.
The programme also involves assessing your achievement level from the start to the finish.
Who should attend?
You’ll benefit most from the Certificate in HR Management if you:
- Have several years operational HR experience (e.g. as an HR Advisor) but are moving to manage HR for a small to medium sized business
- Have operational HR experience and will be managing the HR function for a subsidiary or a division of a larger company that operates fairly independently
- Have been in people management or general operations roles and now moving into an HR Management role
The Certificate in HR Management has a focus on managing key HR processes for a business, including performance reviews, wellness and development, as well as reporting and completing an HR strategy. This differs from the Certificate in HR Operations which focuses on how each area of HR operates, or the HRBP Certificate, which covers how to advise your business but when you’re not in charge of the initiatives or strategy in place.
What will you finish with?
The Certificate in HR Management is different from tertiary study as we cover real life, rather than just covering theory. It’s full of practical suggestions and ideas to use. You’ll work through each module, with real case studies and assessments to test you are applying what we’ve covered. Once you’ve completed your final assessment you will be awarded your certificate.
Elephant Certificates are now recognised globally, in New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific Islands, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, the US and United Kingdom.
