Management training is expensive and doesn’t often deliver. Not Management Bites! Our 4 hour modules can be brought off the shelf and then you choose how to run them.

As a half day in person workshop, or buy 2 and you’ve got a 1 day session
As a half day virtual workshop
As 1 hour virtual sessions that focus on specific parts of a topic

You can also run them with 2 – 20 managers, making this a flexible way to make sure all managers get the same training! They can be re-run with new managers, in different locations, or as part of any formal management training you run.

We have 6 CORE modules, which we believe all managers should know. These include understanding yourself as a manager, employment law, performance reviews, giving feedback, recruitment and selection, and communications.

The 6 LEADERSHIP modules are areas that can really add value and include time management and delegation, motivation and coaching, leading change, restructuring and dismissals, building high performance teams and growing culture and skills.

What you get

Purchasing an OFF THE SHELF module you receive the following:

A set of slides that you can customise with your company branding
A facilitators guide detailing how to run the session
A PDF set of handouts for participants which you can use online, or print out copies for that old school flavour (and people actually remember more when they write with a pen on paper).

If you’re not into facilitating yourself, then one of the Elephant team can facilitate for you. There is an extra cost for this, but our team can facilitate virtually or face to face and you can build a one day, two day or three day programme from any of the modules (which are all half days).

The cost of each module depends on the size of your organisation, whether you’re public sector or NFP and how many modules you’re looking to purchase. Please get in touch with which modules you’re looking at, and we can provide you with the specific costs for you as there is a discount for multiple purchases of 10% for 3 or more modules, 15% for 6, and 20% for 9 or more.

Purchasing gives you the license to run the module within your organisation, as many times as you like, for as many managers!

Management Bites: the book

The first edition of Management Bites was published by HarperCollins NZ back in 2009 and became a best-seller! It was followed by a second edition in 2014. And now Angela has fully updated and revised Management Bites for the third edition – released in July 2024.
