Here are the workshop contents for the LEADERSHIP Modules.
Module 7: Taming Time and Delegating

There’s often something was missing from the time management training out there – often it’s not targeted at time style. This module focuses on time style and your teams, refreshes on time management tools and reveals the secrets to delegating!
This module includes the following:
Part 1: Understanding time styles. You’ll uncover why your own personal time crunches can occur and different methods that suit your style, so you can get through what you need.
Part 2: Team Time. You’ve got yourself sorted out, but now you’ve got to manage a whole team and all their deadlines and workloads. This part takes you through some team time management methods so that you can step back and everything gets done, and you know what’s happening when.
Part 3: Delicious Delegating. Delegation can go wrong in many different ways. If you want to make sure when you delegate something, it gets done to deadline and how it needs to be done – then this bite will take you through the secrets to do it right.
Each part is 1 hour with time for introductions and breaks. For larger groups each part may take an extra 15 – 30 minutes.
Module 8: Motivation and Coaching

There have been some surprising findings in recent years about what really motivates us, and with Gen Z coming into the workplace, this is changing again. The workshop for this topic includes the following:
Part 1: Motivation and Rewards. Can you make it so that your team wake up excited to come into work, and sing and laugh while working really hard to achieve everything that’s needed? Learn how to create a culture that motivates people, and what rewards really work to recognize.
Part 2: Goal Setting Essentials. It may sound simple to set some goals for your team. Go and do this by then. But what if you’re not sure how long it will take? How will it be measured? What if they misinterpret what you meant? There are some complexities around setting a great goal, and this bite will take you through what those are.
Part 3: Coaching Essentials. This bite takes you through the different types of coaching approaches you might take, the challenges that can happen and how to understand your own strengths.
Module 9: Managing Change

The only thing that stays the same, is there is always change! As a manager, you’re often responsible for leading your team through change, whether it’s a new system or process, culture initiative or other project. The workshop includes sections on:
Part 1: Stages of Change. This bite uncovers the different issues that people can feel at different stages of the change, and what behaviours you might see. Then we go through some practical methods to take your team through each stage of change, why it matters and what you’ll see if you’ve done it right.
Part 2: Change Communications. How do you get your team engaged with the change? If you’re looking at taking your comms to the next level, you’ll get some new ideas in this session. We cover some case studies so managers can discuss what to do and say.
Part 3: Building Resilience. This bite takes you through some methods to measure and build your own resilience, and resilience in your team. Find out how to cope when your team are feeling the pressure, and how to help them feel in control and bounce back.
Module 10: Restructures and Dismissals

If you need to take your team through a restructure, or work through giving a warning or dismissing someone – there are strict legal requirements that you must follow. You also want to make sure that you treat people with dignity and respect, as these are hard processes to work through (and look after yourself too). The workshop includes the following:
Part 1: Restructuring your team. This bite gives you an overview of the employment law and the steps that must be followed, but the focus is on how you as a manager can keep your team on track.
Part 2: I’m Warning You. How to work through a disciplinary process and give a warning. Again there are legal requirements you must follow, as well as your company policies and procedures. This bite will take you through the management challenges that can occur and how to cope with these.
Part 3: Dismissing an employee. This bite covers the legal steps that you must comply with, and also the management challenges that can trip you up.
Module 11: High Performance Teams

Whether your team is 2 people or 20 people, you want to make sure people are working well together, that the team is productive and if you can, build your team to be a high performing one! You’ll also have to deal with some sticky situations along that way that can derail things magnificently. The workshop includes the following:
Part 1: Stages of a team. There’s lots of information out there about the stages of a team, but this section covers how you take your team from one level to the next. (45 minutes)
Part 2: High Performing Teams. This part is based on Belbin’s Team Model. He found that there are a number of ‘roles’ you need in a team to take it to the top! Find out what the roles are, what your team might be missing and the impact, and how to develop these roles. This is very interactive and a lot of fun! (1 hour 30 minutes)
Part 3: Sticky Situations. There are some sticky situations (not literally, although sometimes they are…) that you can find yourself in when managing a team. Knowing some different ways to handle issues like body odour, or office affairs, or conflicts, or many more things that can come up. (45 minutes)
TOTAL: 3.5 hours with introductions & a tea break.
Optional extra: You can also choose to have your managers complete the Belbin online assessment and get a detailed report, and access to a self-directed module that takes them through their results and then add in a 30-minute section to the workshop to talk through the overall results. This provides some useful analysis on their skills, how their team sees them and what their strengths and areas to watch out for are.
Module 12: Mentoring and Training

Diverse teams are more effective but there can be some challenges on the journey to building a diverse team. As a manager you need to be able to grow your team’s thinking and skills and ability to work together. The workshop covers:
Part 1: Understanding team culture and diversity. What is culture? And how can you measure it? Your organisation probably runs an engagement survey but there are other ways you can check on what your team culture is, issues that might be happening, and actions you can take. (45 minutes)
Part 2: Successful Mentoring and being a mentor. This section looks at the factors needed to provide effective mentoring and the different roles you play as as a manager that can compliment this. What are the skills you need to be a great mentor? What’s the difference in mentoring vs coaching vs training vs management? What are the challenges that can come up when you’re mentoring? This section is a great way to introduce mentoring to grow your team skills. (1 hour 45 – 2.25 hours depending on discussions)
Part 3: Training your team. How do you conduct effective on the job training? How do you take into account learning styles? Communication preferences? Adjust for the type of skill you’re training them in? Learn it all in this section. (45 minutes – 1 hour)
TOTAL: Minimum 4 hours with introductions and a tea break however with extended discussions, case studies and role plays – this can take 5.5 or even 6 hours.
