Our HR Fundamentals workshops cover all the key areas of HR, the challenges you’ll face and practical tools and techniques to deliver great HR. As always with Elephant we run outcome based learning so you will leave with ideas to use straight away!

We have lots of different workshops to choose from. At the end of each workshop you can choose to complete a written assignment and get personal feedback about what you did well, or other things to consider, OR a Q&A with one of our team to ask any questions.

HR Fundamentals Workshops

These are each $195 to purchase, and include video’s, learning resources and either assignments, Q&A’s with our team or a virtual coaching session.

Learn the most important aspect of HR – the different communication styles and how to put an effective HR comms plan together. You’ll learn tips and tricks for adapting your comms. Then we’ll cover tools and techniques for establishing yourself in your HR career.

Learn the different steps in a recruitment and selection process, with research and case studies on what works best and why. You might be surprised at some of the examples! We also cover how to build the psychological contract, treat candidates fairly, and get the best person for the role!

You’ll often help with HR reporting at the start of your career. This workshops covers different HR reporting that can be run in a business and why it’s important to measure each metric. We cover case studies of metrics, through to how predictive analytics work.

HR policies and procedures don’t have to be boring, horrible things that employees and managers dread reading! You can make them brilliant in a number of ways. This module takes you through HR challenges to consider with each type of HR policy, but also how to make your HR policies engaging.

You might not be in charge of writing employment agreements, but early in your HR career, you’ll probably have to send letter of offers and employment agreements out. So understanding the issues around each type of clause is really useful – in case you ever see a problem!

Again while you won’t be designing things like performance reviews, development plans, remuneration or wellness programmes – you may well have to do the administration and logistics for them! So understanding how they work and the HR challenges is really useful.

We also suggest that when you’re starting in HR you make sure you have a good understanding of the different employment legislation. BUT unlike other training which is just about what the law says, Elephant focuses on HOW this applies in REAL LIFE and what the HR challenges are! So get your teeth into any of the following to learn about employment law in the real world.
