Payroll Master Class

For payroll people – work can seem relentless. There is always another deadline coming up and too little time to get everything done. You also want to make sure you keep your technical skills on legislation up to date. So we have developed a range of Payroll Master Classes for you!

These are short, focused and help you develop your skills by testing out what you know in the quiz at the end or for some modules there is an assignment or some activities to try. For the Holidays Act modules, there are two levels of quiz – so that you or your team can choose to test if you know the basics, or if you can answer the more advanced complex, weird and curly payroll problems that can come up!! Can you take the challenge and pass with flying colours???

Holidays Act Master Classes

Master Class 1 deep dives into annual leave and public holidays. You’ll hear what the provisions are, what issues can catch you out, and how to make sure you’re complying people and paying correctly. Then test your knowledge in our quick quiz or the advanced level.

Master Class 2 focuses on sick leave and bereavement leave – when are employees eligible, how do payments work and what can catch you out! You can then take either our basic quiz or advanced quiz to really test your knowledge.

Master Class 3 covers all the parental leave types and how to pay them correctly as well as many other types of leave that payroll must know how to deal with. Whether domestic violence, study leave, unpaid leave or many, many more – make sure you’re up to speed.

Payroll Efficiency Master Classes

Master Class 4 focuses on different ways you can influencing your managers, grab their attention, get them to actually read your payroll emails and to follow process. If you’ve ever been frustrated with managers not following directions – this session will give you new ideas to get them doing what they should and not asking lots of questions!

Can you achieve more with less? You can! In this Master Class we focus on different ways to manage time effectively, discuss push back and delegation and much more. You will leave with some new ideas to try out.

This Master Class focuses on how you can deliver payroll metrics and reporting for your business. You can then choose to complete the assignment, with case studies and questions to test your knowledge and skills from what you’ve just learned.

As always with elephant, we focus on giving you practical tools and techniques that really work, not just theory. We also answer any questions you have with practical solutions and ideas you can really use. So even if you’re busy, taking some time out may be just what you need.

The Elephant team really know their stuff and are happy to answer every little niggling question I had.

Thank you, I feel better able to talk with my managers and give advice more clearly and back up with good rationale.  I really liked how Nikki gave us good examples on how to phrase your advice to your manager without getting them off-side.

Looking for something more formal? What about our 12 month Certificate in Payroll Operations, which takes you through every area of operational payroll. You complete modules with assignments – personally marked by our team with feedback and coaching provided.
