When you’re starting out in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition, you want to build your knowledge in the fundamental areas. That’s what the Recruitment Fundamentals workshops are designed to do!
The workshops are packed with practical tools and techniques that you can use straight away and build your skills and experience. As always with Elephant we run outcome based learning so you will leave with ideas to use back at work.
Workshops
Workshop 1: Recruitment & Selection processes and building the psychological contract

This online workshop covers the different steps in a recruitment and selection process, with research and case studies on what works best and why. You might be surprised at some of the examples! We also discuss how candidates engage with your process and what can help build the psychological contract, and what can turn candidates off. If you’re responsible for recruiting for a role, understanding these processes and being able to advise hiring managers on what needs to happen, is essential to make sure you treat candidates fairly, and get the best person for the role!
Workshop 2: Complying with discrimination and privacy law for candidate information

Companies get fined when candidates feel they have been discriminated against, or when information has been requested about the recruitment process that breaches privacy. Make sure that you understand not just how to comply with legislation, but also the areas that can trip you up, and how to overcome these issues so that you can keep in touch with candidates, and contact them and others in the right way.
Workshop 3: Job Scoping and using Competencies

Understanding what the role involves and what skills and experience may be required sounds easy, but there are some things that can trip you up! This workshop will take you through different ways you can scope a job from a full analysis, to a quick and fast method, and what and how to discuss this with hiring managers. You’ll also learn how tricks and techniques to using competencies to analyse skills needed, and then translating this into your sourcing and search plans.
Workshop 4: Search Plans and sourcing great candidates

Putting an advert on SEEK might get you some candidates, but they might be not the one you really need! In this workshop you’ll learn how to develop a search plan, think outside the box, use different techniques to define your market and then use sourcing solutions to reach the right candidates. You’ll hear some innovative ideas and case studies and have access to templates and resources.
Workshop 5: Inspired Interviewing

Just because a candidate is great in the interview, it doesn’t mean they’ll be great on the job – yet many hiring managers get caught out by this. In this workshop you’ll cover how to design interview effective questions, run interviewing processes and deal with interviewing challenges. You’ll also find out how to get around a confident candidate to find out if they will actually be the best person for the job!
